It has been a few weeks since my last post.  Some progress in the right direction is happening.  First, and most important, the admiral knows the plan.  That took some convincing and will still need some work as time goes by.  I think she understands though how flying has always been in my mind since I was born.  I stopped flying when we met due to financial constraints and school.  Been in my career now for 10 years and can financially take on this build.

After the garage sale, we continued to sell items on craigslist and trash some more stuff.  Reorganized some and gained lots more space.  Garage still needs more work (lights, compressor pipping/or hose reel, maybe paint, and an EAA work bench) but there is really no rush.  I get a bit done here and there after work.

For now, I have been working 60-80 hours a week to expedite the funds.  The plan is to buy the tools and empennage kit at the same time.  As long as work stays busy, Vans and Cleveland Tools will receive my order by the end of next month.  Right now, the VAF, and POA websites are keeping me motivated to work my ass off. After the empennage kit arrives, I'll immediately start saving for the wings.

Stay tuned...
